Amazon is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist with a focus on Employee Relations to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and improving employee relations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding workplace concerns, disputes, and performance issues. Provide guidance on resolving conflicts and improving employee engagement.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Assist in creating, updating, and enforcing HR policies to ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Manage employee investigations, complaints, and disciplinary procedures, ensuring that all actions are in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate and facilitate the resolution of workplace conflicts through a fair and balanced approach, promoting mutual understanding and respect.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to implement training programs that enhance employee relations and leadership skills.
  • Employee Wellbeing: Develop and maintain programs that support employee wellbeing, work-life balance, and overall job satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Maintain and update records of employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and complaints. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
  • Collaboration with HR Team: Work closely with other HR teams (recruitment, compensation, benefits, etc.) to ensure a cohesive HR strategy and employee experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in HR, with a strong focus on employee relations, conflict resolution, and HR policy enforcement.
  • Certifications: HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of Labor Laws: In-depth understanding of labor laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and OSHA.
  • Conflict Management: Strong skills in resolving employee issues and fostering a positive, respectful workplace.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations or a related field.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and improving employee engagement.
  • Experience with employee investigations, performance management, and providing support to managers and employees.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility for urgent employee-related issues.
  • Some remote work options may be available depending on business needs.
