Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medicines, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with hospital pharmacy policies.

Key Responsibilities

???? Dispensing & Billing:

• Dispense medicines as per prescriptions
• Generate and receive medication bills
• Physically check each medication before dispensing

???? Inventory & Quality Control:

• Verify quantity, batch, and expiry dates while receiving and dispensing medicines
• Maintain records of returned medicines and expired stock
• Segregate and return non-moving or near-expiry medicines to vendors
• Conduct monthly expiry date checks for all medicines
• Prepare purchase requests for medical and surgical supplies

???? Patient Care & Coordination:

• Counsel patients on dosage, administration time, and routes
• Coordinate with doctors regarding prescription changes or substitutes
• Provide medications as per department and ward requirements

???? Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:

• Maintain NABH registers (narcotics, temperature logs, etc.)
• Generate Goods Received Notes (GRN) after receiving orders
• Report adverse drug reactions and incidents to the clinical pharmacist and supervisor
• Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies

???? Operational Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily pharmacy billing records
• Prepare and manage floor-wise medicine requests
• Report damaged medicines to the pharmacy supervisor
• Ensure smooth shift handovers, including financial reconciliation
• Apply for leaves in advance and maintain professional relationships with patients and staff
