Software Technologist I – C++

Role Overview

As a Software Technologist I, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and understanding functional requirements, designing and implementing software modules, and ensuring seamless integration within the system. You will collaborate with various teams, contribute to project planning, and support DevOps and service functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Analysis: Understand and analyze Functional Requirement Specifications.
• Software Development: Design, code, document, test (automated), and maintain software using C++ and C# .NET in a Windows environment.
• Module Ownership: Implement and deliver assigned software modules efficiently.
• Code Review & Quality Assurance: Review work products to ensure adherence to high standards.
• Technical Communication: Manage technical discussions with stakeholders.
• Risk Management & Project Planning: Support project estimation, planning, and risk mitigation.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of team processes, software development, and overall efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Education: BE/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Experience: 5+ years in application development.
• Programming Proficiency:
  • C++ and C# .NET development in a Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of Web Services (preferred).
• Tools & Libraries:
  • MFC, PowerShell, WCF, SQL Server, REST Services, WinDbg.
• Software Development Expertise:
  • Design Patterns, Continuous Integration, and Agile Methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Memory Management, Performance Optimization, and Multithreading.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting expertise.
• Additional Experience (Preferred):
  • Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) exposure.
