As a Senior Manager of Statistical Programming, you will provide technical and leadership expertise in statistical programming to support clinical development programs. You will play a key role in the development, regulatory approval, and market success of BMS products by leading programming strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting innovation.
???? Programming & Clinical Support
Lead statistical programming activities across clinical project teams and vendors
Develop, validate, and maintain complex programs in accordance with standards (e.g., CDISC, ADaM)
Support electronic submission preparation and review
Create and review programming specifications aligned with statistical analysis and data review plans
Ensure consistency with regulatory guidelines and internal SOPs
???? Document & Risk Management
Review critical documents such as SAPs, data presentation plans, and ensure programming clarity
Communicate risks and issues proactively with remediation strategies
???? Process Improvement
Identify, lead, and support initiatives to optimize programming tools, workflows, and processes
Contribute to the change management process including communication, training, and stakeholder engagement
???? Team Leadership & Management
Recruit, manage, and mentor up to 5 direct reports
Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and provide real-time coaching
Maintain a productive team environment focused on quality and timelines
Build and maintain strong networks with stakeholders across functions
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Life Sciences
Minimum 8 years of statistical programming experience in the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry
Strong working knowledge of:
Clinical trial methodology and regulatory guidance
CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM)
SAS programming and other tools (e.g., MS Office, XML, Pinnacle 21)
Experience with full data lifecycle: upstream (e.g., eDC, SDTM) to downstream deliverables (e.g., ADaM, TFLs, e-submissions)
Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
BMS offers a flexible hybrid work model, with roles designated as:
Site-essential (100% onsite)
Site-by-design (minimum 50% onsite – this role)
Field-based or Remote-by-design (as applicable)
