Job Overview:

HR Administration Occupations is looking for an energetic and experienced Production Manager to join our manufacturing facility in Coimbatore. This position requires an individual with strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of production processes, and the ability to manage daily operations to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to inspire and manage a team effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily activities on the production line to ensure adherence to production schedules.
  • Ensure the production process meets quality and safety standards while complying with company guidelines.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of production staff, providing training where necessary.
  • Monitor and ensure proper usage and maintenance of production equipment and machinery.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Quality Control, Maintenance, Operations) to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Develop and implement operational plans to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including daily output, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory control.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues or delays promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and propose ideas for process optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience managing a team or overseeing production operations is highly desirable.
  • Experience with quality control processes and troubleshooting production line issues is a plus.
  • Exposure to working with manufacturing software or systems is valuable.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position with a standard 40-hour work week.
  • Flexibility in working hours may be required depending on production demands, including occasional overtime.

  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations and production line management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
