About the Role: Platform Engineer

As a Platform Engineer at Acceldata, you will:

• Develop and extend Linux command-line (CLI) applications for our product offerings—similar to kubectl, docker-cli, and aws-cli.

• Enhance our internal tools developed in Go by building plugins to extend their functionalities (e.g., Telegraf and Filebeat).

• Build web applications to integrate internal tools with various APIs and services at the customer’s end.

A Day in the Life of a Platform Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain Linux CLI applications.

• Extend Go-based internal tools by developing plugins to enhance functionality.

• Create web applications that integrate internal tools with customer APIs and services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data observability solutions.

You’re a Great Fit If You Have

✅ Experience:

• 1-4 years of total experience in software development.

✅ Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Go: Strong understanding of Go programming paradigms, constructs, and idioms.

• Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Cobra, Gin, or HashiCorp’s Go-Plugin.

• Data Structures & Algorithms: Deep understanding of Go-specific data structures and algorithms.

• RESTful Web Services: Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.

• Database Knowledge: Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Linux System Development: Familiarity with Linux environments and system-level application development.

✅ Bonus Skills:

• DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.

• Big Data Expertise: Understanding of Big Data systems or Hadoop components.
