Job Overview:

Citi is seeking a high-caliber professional to join their Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) and Securities Services (SS) teams. As a Cash and Trade Proc Analyst 1, you'll be responsible for executing complex transactions, ensuring process efficiency, and participating in coordination with the Transaction Services team. The overall goal is to act as a subject matter expert (SME) while processing various financial transactions, including payments, receivables, trade transactions, and wholesale card activity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Handling:
    Manage products such as Bills under Letter of Credit, Documentary Collection, Trade Loans/Discounting, and Open Account.
    Demonstrate hands-on experience in document checking under Letter of Credit as per UCP/ISBP/ICC guidelines.

  • Transaction Processing:
    Process regular, restricted, and legal transfers, including payments, receivables, trade transactions, liquidity flows, and wholesale card activity.

  • Process Improvement:
    Ensure transactions are processed efficiently and recommend process improvements.

  • Data Analysis & Problem-Solving:
    Evaluate and recommend solutions to problems through data analysis, technical expertise, and precedence.

  • Stakeholder Interaction:
    Anticipate and respond to internal and external clients and vendors with deliverables.

  • Collaboration:
    Contribute to and collaborate with the cash & trade operations team on various projects.

  • Risk Assessment & Compliance:
    Assess risks in business decisions, ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and safeguard the firm’s reputation and assets.

  • Ethical Conduct:
    Apply sound ethical judgment in personal behavior, business practices, and decision-making. Ensure transparency in escalating and reporting control issues.


Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.

  • Knowledge:
    Fundamental comprehension of financial industry regulations.

  • Communication Skills:
    Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Analytical Skills:
    Strong analytical skills and ability to recommend actionable solutions.

  • Certification:
    CDCS qualification is a plus.


Education:

  • Degree:
    Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
